So, book your tickets and come to stay !
Take a friend and head for the Stevenson House on 3rd/4th December 2013 to see the latest designs of Beatrice von Tresckow. Not only rich evening designs, but also day wear is available as well as the ever popular sale rail !
Entrance of £5 to benefit the Scrosoppi Sorgsenter in Oudtshoorn.
Having refurbished one bathroom already last year, we took the plunge and have turned the adjoining boxroom into the en-suite bathroom for our twin bedroom on the second floor.
This was accomplished earlier in the year and we have had fantastic feedback from our visitors as it has added comfort and value to their stay.
So do come and try it out !
Thinking of spending New Year in Scotland ? We still have some availability over Hogmanay and can offer 5 nights for the price of 4 ! What a great offer ! Don't miss this great opportunity of staying in our historic house and sampling some of the best of Scottish hospitality !
The year is drawing to its close and it is time for Advent again. The
Stevenson House dons it's festive dress and welcomes once again Beatrice von
Tresckow and her fabulous designs for the annual winter sale. Come and bring
your friends on Friday 7th December from 11am to 8pm and on Saturday 8th
December from 11am to 6pm. This is the kick off for Beatrice's winter sale
season and we get the first bite off the cherry, meaning that there is plenty of
gorgeous designs to choose from at great discounts ! The £5 entry fee goes once
again to the Scrosoppi Sorgsenter in Oudtshoorn, RSA, which Victoria and
Felicitas visited in October this year to observe all the great progress that
has been made. Such a worthwhile cause
With the Scottish Summer being such a wash-out this year, we have concentrated on the washing facilities in the Stevenson House and can now happily announce that the bathroom on the second floor has been completely re-vamped and is now a modern shower room with underfloor heating !
The master bedroom and ensuite bathroom on the first floor have benefitted from a new lick of paint and a very plush new carpet. Reaction from the guests so far has been very positive, so come and try them out yourself !
There are also plans to create an en-suite shower room for the twin bedroom on the second floor, but that is still awaiting building consent.
All pretty exciting !
he weather this year has made the work in the allotment quite challenging. The various salads were spared by the slugs, the sweet peas worked for the first time ever (and filled our guests' rooms with their unique smell), none of the brassicas came out and the rhubarb harvest was quite poor.
Thanks to kind friends, all the raspberries have been changed over to "Autumn Bliss" and I am still harvesting them for the house and breakfast.
But the constant rain has let the weeds sprout continuously so the compost is well stacked ! Inverleith won once again the Allotment in Bloom award as well as the Best Allotment, but don't worry, I did nothing to contribute to that.
On Wednesday 21st September 2011 the Stewart-Clarks are once again throwing open their marquee and are hosting the Dundas Castle Autumn Show just outside South Queensferry. Felicitas will once again man the stall with Beatrice von Tresckow and be selling the latests collection of this stunning designer who combines German tailoring with sumptuous Eastern colours and fabrics.
There are plenty of stalls with all manner of quality goodies, so do come along and start your Christmas shopping !
Opening times are 10-16hrs and there is plenty of free parking !
Come and see the Stevenson House disguised as Aladdin's Cave! Beatrice von Tresckow (www.beatricevontresckow.com) will show her amazing fashion on the weekend 5th/6th December 2009 from 11am to 8pm at 17 Heriot Row.
Her latest collection of stunning silk velvet jackets and party ensembles will be on view as well as the opportunity to grab a bargain on the sale rail ! Seasonal refreshments will be offered and an opportunity to stock up on homebaking/preserves.
£5 Entrance fee is split between the Edinburgh Pregnancy and Parents Centre (formerly the Edinburgh Birth Resource Centre) (birthresourcecentre.org.uk) and the Scrosoppi Centre in Oudtshoorn, RSA (www.scrosoppi.org)
Bring your friends and be delighted !
