Throughout the year you may have the opportunity to stay in the Stevenson House on a bed and breakfast basis. This allows you to soak up even more of the atmosphere and to be pampered in Georgian splendour.
There are two rooms to let, the master bedroom and a twin room on the second floor overlooking the Firth of Fourth. The master bedroom used to be the bedroom of Robert Louis' parents and features a beautiful four poster bed, William Morris pattern wallpaper with the en-suite bathroom being the original Stevenson installation (see Pictures of Interest).
The twin bedroom is situated at the rear of the building with a superb view across to Fife. It has its own en-suite shower room with toilet.
All rooms are well equipped and offer our guests the unique advantage of staying right in the city centre close to most of the city's attractions, museums and theatres.
Edinburgh's main railway station, Waverley, is 10 minutes walk away and the journey to the airport takes about half an hour by bus, taxi or car.
The prices are £130 per night for the double and £110 per night for the twin, including a delicious breakfast with home-baked bread and jams made by Mrs Macfie herself.
The house is equipped with WiFi internet, which is free to use for all our guests.
Stays of five nights and over will receive a free dinner at the Stevenson House with wine included.
